About the topic: I've never watched the cartoon, but I remember it being pretty popular at my daycare home when I was 3. I have to go with the film in this case, it's soo funny! Plus, I hate series that don't pertain to the original movie storylines, like all the Disney cartoon series do.

Now about the sequel thing: WHAT?! Why are they making a freakin' sequel?!?! That movie was made more than a decade ago. And worse, strait to DVD?!?! I'm kinda pissed now.

I've never seen the TV cartoon series, but I saw the show once on the Classic Movie channel when I was bored...at least I think that's whhat channel it was. Anyway, I have to say it was quite odd, but there some parts the cracked me up. And a sequal...? I'm sorry, but no.

I appreciated both, and I liked how in one episode, Beetleguise pasquinaders the whole Earth Awareness issue with the episode of the animated tree. Personally, Lydia really acted out of character in that episode, she, a green-peace goth? I don't think so. She became a happier person in the end of the film, but that doesn't make her a earth rights activist.

I need to look further on this "fan-devoted" sequel that's supposedly direct-to-video/dvd(this doesn't mean you wrong though, I was just quoting what Warner Brothers said).

Speaking of the cartoon, I immediately bought a tape(yes, vhs) of the series at a 99c store last year. It made me fill with glee to find it, and the quality was actually better than that Men-In-Black the series video(that I got there as well). I swear, what exactly was with the quality on one tape compared to the other?! They were both shrink-wrapped, so that should mean that they should be of good quality right? Apparently I was proved wrong by my uncle, he's a foreign film distributor and seller(http://www.cine-east.com), and it seems that people just rewrap merchandise after their pre-viewed. He's not bootlegging dvds I assure you, he gets them through licensed companies.
