In a prime-time showdown the rival Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees will face off at Fenway Park on Sunday night. These teams have split the first two games of this three-game set. The Red Sox won Fridays bout 4-3 and had a 3-0 lead early on Saturday, but Boston starter Allen Webster could not hold the edge, walking six batters and allowing four runs over 2 2/3 innings of work.Watch the game live on TSN2 at 8pm et/5pm pt. "I felt good in the first two innings, really struggled with my release point in the third and never got it back," Webster admitted. Derek Jeter went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBI to lead the way for New York, which had lost five of its previous six games. "You arent always going to hit the ball hard, get a lot of hits or score a lot of runs," Jeter said. "When you do, hopefully it lasts for as long as possible. You can always feel like you have a hit streak coming, but you have to go out and do it." On Saturday Yoenis Cespedes made his debut with Boston after coming over in Thursdays trade with Oakland that sent Jon Lester westward. The Cuban outfielder went 1-for-4 with a run scored. Mike Napoli went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI and Dustin Pedroia and Brock Holt each had two hits in the losing effort. Since winning four straight after the All-Star break, the Red Sox have dropped nine of 11. Making his 17th start of the season for the Yankees on Sunday will be David Phelps. Phelps has ben an extremely versatile pitcher for New York this season, filing in as a starter with injuries ravaging the rotation. Although originally in the bullpen, Phelps last 16 outings have been starts. As a starter he is 5-5 with a 3.90 ERA and as a reliever he has an ERA of 3.86. In total he is 5-5 with a 3.89 ERA in 25 total appearances. Before facing Texas last Monday, Phelps had won his last four decisions. However, after allowing four runs in six innings against the Rangers the streak came to an end as the Yankees lost 4-2. Phelps has faced Boston three times already this season, although all three of those appearances came in a relief role. He has pitched 4 2/3 scoreless innings this season and 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 10 career chances versus the Red Sox. Clay Buchholz suddenly finds himself the leader of the Red Sox staff, with Lester, John Lackey, Jake Peavy and Felix Doubront all sent away via trade in the last week. Red Sox fans cannot feel too confident in Buchholzs abilities to anchor the rotation, considering he is just 5-7 with a 5.87 ERA this season, during which he has been hampered by injuries. The hope is that he will be able to recapture the dominant form he displayed last year when he went 12-1 with a 1.74 ERA in a season that was also shortened by injuries. Since throwing a shutout against the Astros on July 13, Buchholz has been trending down, allowing 13 combined earned runs in his last three starts, including a season-high of seven last Monday against Toronto. In his lone start against New York this season the right-hander allowed four runs, two earned, on seven hits in six innings. He is now 5-6 with a 5.12 ERA in 13 career starts against the Yankees. New York has a 7-5 edge in the season series with Boston. Timothy Tillman Jersey . The All Blacks played their best rugby of recent years when they beat South Africa 38-27 in Johannesburg two weeks ago, clinching the Rugby Championships in a match which has been hailed as one of the best ever played. Milos Pantovic Jersey . - In about six minutes, the Memphis Grizzlies had allowed their 23-point lead to be cut to seven. http://www.bayernmunichfcstore.com/Customized/. - Pierre-Maxime Poudrier scored twice and added an assist, and Antoine Bibeau made 43 saves as the Val-dOr Foreur downed the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 6-3 on Sunday to force Game 7 in their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final series. Manuel Wintzheimer Jersey . CHAUNCEY BILLUPS (Pistons): Yes they got Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings in the off-season and Andre Drummond is a beast (teams are kicking themselves for passing on him - he rebounds and block shots every game - thats two more discernable and significant skills than most guys in his draft class), but dont for a second discount the impact of having a savvy veteran like Billups on your team. James Rodriguez Jersey . HABS HEADED TO CONFERENCE FINAL The Montreal Canadiens scored early in Game Seven, built a lead and protected it well on their way to a 3-1 series-clinching win over the Boston Bruins. While this game or series isnt necessarily a referendum on the value of fourth lines, the Canadiens certainly benefitted from production lower down their forward depth chart.Lexington, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Kentucky and Providence were both undefeated coming into Sundays meeting at Rupp Arena, and it was virtually even for 20 minutes before the top-ranked Wildcats pulled away. Willie Cauley-Stein and Karl-Anthony Towns each recorded 11 points and six rebounds, and Kentucky held the Friars to 16 points after the break en route to a 58-38 win. The Wildcats (7-0) saw five other players finish with six points, including Andrew Harrison, who added four assists and four steals. Tyler Harris and Carson Desrosiers each netted 10 points for the Friars (6-1), who made just 4-of-24 (16.7 percent) in the deciding second half. Kris Dunn shot 1-of-7 from the floor and committed 10 of Providences 18 turnovers. While the final numbers were unsightly, the Friars opened the contest by making seven of their first 10 shotts.dddddddddddd. They led 19-15 following two Harris free throws with 6:49 remaining in the first half, but baskets were much tougher to come by the rest of the way. Kentucky went into halftime holding a 26-22 lead and never trailed after the break. For a 14-plus minute stretch that went into the second half, the Friars connected on just 1-of-16 shots, and a Towns three-point play gave Kentucky a 33-25 lead with 14:04 to go. A quick 9-0 run capped by an Alex Poythress layup in transition extended the Wildcats cushion to 44-29, and the hosts cruised from there. Game Notes Providence fell to 2-12 all-time against No. 1 ranked teams ... Kentucky beat its first six opponents by an average of 36.8 points ... Providence came in averaging 74.2 ppg ...
